Help Opera Brava enable the young people of today become the Artists of tomorrow

opera Brava in education

Welcome to Opera Brava.

It is with a profound sense of gratitude and sadness, we are announcing the closure of the Opera Brava outdoor Summer performances.

We have been performing to audiences throughout the UK since 1988 – beginning at The Cheltenham Festival and growing from there.   In our busiest years’, we used to perform over about 12 weekends at times over 40 performances each year as well as our education work in schools. Going from Devon to Northumberland and everywhere in between!

We have engaged some incredible artists over the years from all sectors of the Arts’ and remain forever grateful for their contribution.

It is hard to quantify the ‘life’ we have lead through the ‘ups and downs’ of running an Opera Company.  But we hope that for you, our audiences, we will have left wonderful memories from this most amazing artform and the productions that we brought to you. We couldn’t have done it without you.

So thank you from Bronek & Mandy Pomorski founders of Opera Brava

EXCITING NEWS

Opera Brava are still planning to continue their renowned education work – with the new production of PETER PAN just around the corner.

The education  work has always been at the heart of Opera Brava.  Never just an add-on as we believe it is so important to give opportunities to children that we know are life changing. And music and particularly Opera, can do this.

PETER PAN composed by Jenny Gould will be going into 3 schools this Autumn 2026 and will also – we are hoping- be launched at GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital).

We are still seeking funding for this work and if you are willing and able to give towards it we would be very grateful.

Changing lives with the power of music

Our work in schools lifts school children from the classroom into a magical and safe space to create and perform an opera. In this new world they find confidence, new skills and hidden talents that transform their lives and education.

“Head Teachers who have worked with us, told us that they had their best Sats scores ever following a week with Opera Brava. One of many incredible and what might seem unexpected outcomes. The reality is - music has extraordinary powers” Amanda Pomorski, Founder, Opera Brava
