Opera Brava's British Tour of 2021

Our Summer 2021 Outdoor Tour is confirmed, with eleven performances taking place at seven venues around the UK.

With the exception of the Leatherhead Theatre these are all outdoor venues. Each is set in beautiful grounds with the stage set against a gorgeous backdrop. There is plenty of space to socially distance and guests are invited to bring chairs, tables and picnic blankets and choose the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the performance in small groups.

Puccini’s Tosca
Friday 30th of July

Tosca is a must see for both newcomers and aficionados.

Beautiful and breathtaking arias and rousing musical moments in this magnificent Puccini score.

He has constructed a score which flows like the incidental music to a film – introducing and reinforcing dramatic events.

This new production is set in Rome in the 1940’s and brings to light all of the tragedies that happen in relationships during a world of conflict.

Performance begins at 7.30pm until approx. 10.20

Rossini’s The Barber of Seville
Saturday 31st of July

Written in three weeks, Rossini’s masterpiece is one of the wittiest and most immediately appealing comic operas in the repertoire today and is as fresh to the ear now as when it first burst upon it’s Italian audiences in 1816. On first hearing, the utter joy of one melodic masterpiece flowing into the next is thrilling to any audience. As the plot unfolds and is dramatically told through Rossini’s brilliant musical structure, it helps us to understand, in part, the Barber’s special place in the history of opera.

Performance begins at 7.30pm until approx. 10.20

Gates open at 6-30pm for you to enjoy the beautiful grounds.
Bring your own rugs, chairs and a picnic.
